The Problem & Local Climate Challenge

The homeowner noticed a musty odor and yellowing drywall on their upper-floor ceiling. An attic inspection uncovered saturated insulation and surface mold spreading across a 10-foot section of roof rafters. The moisture was tracing back to an unsealed valley metal joint where debris had built up, forcing rainwater to back up underneath the tiles during heavy rainfall.

Technical Solution & Engineering Execution

Our rapid-response roof repair team cleared the blocked roof valley and removed damaged insulation to dry the attic framing with commercial air movers. On the roof surface, we peeled back the valley tiles, replaced rotted 1/2-inch CDX decking, and installed heavy-gauge W-valley metal over two layers of self-adhered synthetic membrane. We reinstalled the field tiles with proper tile cuts and sealed all mortar transitions. We then installed fresh high-efficiency R-38 fiberglass attic insulation, leaving the homeowner with a clean, dry, and energy-efficient attic.
